Bring your damn kids. Meet Majorette!

It’s pretty incredible how time flies. Just over a year ago Nate wrote a post about his dream project, Boo Cat Club, and now here we are inviting you to the grand opening of her little sister, Majorette. Sometimes dreams do come true…twice!

For the past few months, Almanac has had the pleasure of raising Majorette into the amazing event space she’s become. We wrapped ourselves up in naming endeavors, trekked through innumerable hard hat tours, filled our walls with brand concept iterations and designed and guided the production of two neon signs…and that’s just the start. Now, Majorette is warmed up and ready to show St. Louis what she’s got.

While we knew Majorette would benefit from the success of her older sister, Boo Cat Club, we wanted to be sure to craft a personality that was truly her own. From furniture store, to Lions Club Hall, to faire sad call center, to event venue, Majorette has come a long way. We hope her big personality, quirks and tassels will win the hearts of the curious and creative in our city.

Ready to see the finished product?  Call up your friends and head over to Majorette tonight (Wednesday, February 10th, 5-8:30pm) to check out the space in person. Here are a few things you can expect:

  • explore all three levels from the basement game room to the mezzanine
  • sample delish treats from preferred caterers such as Salt + SmokeRusso’sHollyberry and more
  • setups from Majorette vendors
  • cocktail hour
  • jazz performance from Maplewood Richmond Heights high school band!

RSVP and let Majorette know you can’t wait to meet her (directions here). Hope to see you there! (Really, bring your damn kids. All are welcome.)
