Almanac is looking for an entry level front end web developer to join our growing team. Is that you? If so, let’s talk!

Front End Web Developer

At Almanac, we seek out purpose-driven clients, so we’re looking for a person who is passionate about crafting work that inspires curiosity and awakens empathy. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work closely with our creative and development team to bring complex sites to life. You’ve got to love design as much as you love code.

Skills & Requirements
We’re going to assume you have a growing development skillset with maybe some general experience with server-side technology, ie: PHP. You should possess strong troubleshooting skills, be proficient with HTML, CSS and Adobe Photoshop. You should be fairly comfortable with breakpoints and other elements used in building responsive sites, and have an understanding of AJAX, JavaScript and the jQuery library. Bonus points if you’re using precompilers like SASS, task runners like Grunt and Gulp and version control like Git.

In our work, we utilize a variety of CMS and email campaign platforms and tie in with a myriad of 3rd party systems. The person in this position is curious about new development tools and technology and should look for opportunities to help us surface, prioritize and integrate these tools into our workflow.

Otherwise, you need a willingness to jump in and contribute on a bunch of different projects, share your ideas and be part of a team. We’re a small but productive shop and you’ll be involved in day-to-day projects from concept to creation.

If you’re doing great work and want to learn, we’d love to meet you.
