Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working with the St. Louis Children’s Hospital Foundation on a video for their fundraising gala which was held this past Saturday. The Playdate Gala event was to encourage donors to contribute to the Foundation, to help cover the costs of providing innovative healing and care for kids.
We’ve worked with the Foundation for more than two years now, so we’ve become a bit accustomed to images of young patients at the hospital receiving treatment, working in physical therapy, or running happily down the hallway. We reviewed and compiled the hours of footage of kids and parents and caregivers—some smiling, some not, all of them getting better because of this place, because of Children’s Hospital.
And then, in the midst of a regular afternoon of phone calls, emails, print specs and other busy-ness, we all gathered in Nate’s office to watch the first cut. And we were completely overwhelmed by the emotion and inspiration on the screen—you could feel this one in your gut. It was at that moment I realized just how fortunate we are to be able to work with such purpose-driven clients.
We’re ever grateful for opportunities like this to inspire and connect. And today we’re giving thanks for the privilege of creating work that moves people, and we’re honored to partner with some amazing organizations.
Special thanks to Jon Lutjens for the masterful editing.
